That was her special, love-ly message for the Con Affetto Valentine’s Day Contest; that’s the spirit she imbues into her life, her work and her food; and that’s pretty much what makes her the rockstar that she is! We bring to you, Abhilasha Jain, chef extraordinaire and the magic behind Marwadi Khana, authentic Marwadi food for the gourmets at heart (and tongue 😉 ).

After spending her early years in Ajmer and having done her schooling and graduation from the hallowed portals of Sophia School and Sophia College, Ajmer; Abhilasha now calls Gurgaon her home. That’s also where she runs the acclaimed Marwadi Khana, hailed as the go-to destination if authentic Marwadi food is what your tastebuds are craving. Always a talented and passionate cook, Abhilasha was fuelled by a desire to show what cooking with passion, with soul is all about to the world, and that’s how the idea for Marwadi Khana first took shape. Well, she sure has shown the world how passion, love and soul infused into authentic Marwadi food can make it rock- totally outta the world and into foodie heaven! When she’s not whipping up her famed dal-baati-churma and her to-die-for atta gond laddoos or brainstorming on how to elevate brand Marwadi Khana; Abhilasha can be found spending time with hubby Ashish, her biggest strength and support and their daughter Bhavya.

With her second baby, Marwadi Khana 😉 keeping her on her toes at all times, Abhilasha walks the talk as she balances the many demands of work and life with ease and élan. And walk the talk she sure does; Marwadi Khana has been awarded the Jury Choice Award for Best Veg Caterer at the Big F Awards, 2015 (Gurgaon) and been lauded by the likes of Pawan Soni, one of the most respected food writers and bloggers, over at the uber cool restaurant review website Indian Food Freak.
